Testosterone boosting supplements have become one of the most popular products in any supplement shop thanks to men who want to feel extra manly!
Truth be told, the market is flooded with all sorts of herbs and pills that claim to raise testosterone, but really they’re just glorified (and expensive) Viagra pills.
Testogen seeks to be different from the crowd with its amazing testosterone boosting formula1.
Read our Testogen review to find out if it’s the supplement for you!
What Is Testogen?
Testogen is made by Wolfson Berg Limited.
It calls itself a “Testosterone Triple Action” supplement which is probably due to its Big 3 testosterone-boosting ingredients.
From the looks of things, Testogen supplement also offers benefits for training and sex.
- Transparent label. We like when the supplement shows us everything we need to know about it.
- Potent ingredients. We’re seeing a lot of familiar faces and we love familiarity in supplements.
- Available in 3 sizes. 30, 90, and 150 day supplies.
In addition to what we stated, the company is proud to claim the following:
- Strengthened muscle mass and more lean muscle.
- Stimulated libido and motivation.
- Sharpened performance, both physical and mental.
- Slimmed-down body fat especially around the waist, and even reduced cholesterol and lower blood pressure.
What Are The Ingredients?
At first glance, Testogen contains some of the most potent natural testosterone boosters in existence.
This is pretty good news since a lot of supplements only claim to be potent, but in reality they’re all just fluff and chalk.
D-Aspartic Acid
Also known as DAA, it’s currently the king of testosterone boosters2. It’s capable of boosting T-levels by up to 42% in less than two weeks!
In humans we found that with the consumption of a daily dose of 10 ml of 2 M sodium D-aspartate solution (3.12 g) for 12 consecutive days, the levels of luteinizing hormone and testosterone in the serum were significantly increased, by 33% and 42% respectively.
The form we would’ve preferred is D-AA-CC, but plain DAA is pretty good too.
Zinc
This is only second to DAA. Many studies have linked low zinc levels to low testosterone levels which results to hypogonadism. Researchers agree taking zinc helps reverse hypogonadism and restores testosterone synthesis3.
Zinc supplementation of marginally zinc-deficient normal elderly men for six months resulted in an increase in serum testosterone from 8.3 +/- 6.3 to 16.0 +/- 4.4 nmol/L (p = 0.02). We conclude that zinc may play an important role in modulating serum testosterone levels in normal men.
It’s in Zinc Gluconate form so it only really has 20-25% elemental Zinc which is around 14-15 mg give or take. They could’ve doubled the dose for this without risking any health issues, but it’s what we have.
Vitamin D
It’s one of the most effective vitamins for testosterone, but unfortunately people don’t get enough sun to fully utilize its benefits. One study found that taking Vitamin D4 for one year appeared to boost total testosterone, bioactive testosterone & free testosterone.
Compared to baseline values, a significant increase in total testosterone levels, bioactive testosterone, and free testosterone levels were observed in the vitamin D supplemented group. By contrast, there was no significant change in any testosterone measure in the placebo group. Our results suggest that vitamin D supplementation might increase testosterone levels.
Panax Ginseng
Though not really a good testosterone booster, ginseng’s manly benefits might be linked to testosterone.
One human study found Panax ginseng5 capable of increasing free testosterone and the androgen DHT in men.
Use of Panax Ginseng extract showed an increase in spermatozoa number/ml and progressive oscillating motility, an increase in plasma total and free testosterone, DHT, FSH and LH levels.
Fenugreek
Like Panax, fenugreek6 isn’t exactly the best testosterone booster out there. It’s more about sex drive enhancer and muscle recovery, but it does show some pro-testosterone production benefits.
It’s a great herb for muscle growth according to this 2010 study:
Based on the results of the study, we conclude that daily supplementation of 500 mg of the commercially available fenugreek supplement (Torabolic) in conjunction with an eight week, structured resistance training program can significantly increase upper- and lower-body strength, reduce body fat percentage, and thus improve overall body composition when compared to a placebo group under identical experimental protocols.
Tribulus Terrestris
Another popular herb for sex and mood7. This herb seems to indirectly help testosterone precursors while supporting male sex hormones.
B-Vitamins
B-Vitamins in general are always good, but the ones in this formula – B2, B5, B6 – were carefully chosen to boost testosterone, energy, and overall mood (not just for sex)8.
Selenium
Selenium9 is the kind of mineral that you always have enough of if you eat a standard Western diet, but a little bit more never hurts especially since selenium deficiency is linked to male infertility.
How Does Testogen Work?
It has some of the best testosterone boosters, but they’re not at their best forms.
We like how Testogen has chosen few yet potent ingredients with plenty of research backing them up when it comes to male health and sex drive. We also like how the formula is dedicated to not just increasing testosterone and sex drive, but also gym performance as well as muscle growth.
With the above said, we just wish they added more zinc, vitamin D, and used the more potent form of DAA. These three are Testogen’s main guns and if they only spent a bit more on these three ingredients this product could’ve been so much better.
Still, Testogen is a decent testosterone booster to say the least, and we definitely recommend using it.
For best results, it’s advisable to use this supplement if you’re clinically diagnosed with low-testosterone or is already past forty years old as some of its ingredients work best when the user is low on testosterone.
How To Use It?
Each serving of Testogen consists of 4 capsules and as instructed, men are to take a single serving per day with food.
What Are The Testogen Benefits?
The formulation of Testogen will make you feel energized, motivated, and reduce body fat while growing lean muscle mass.
Are There Any Side Effects You Should Be Worried About?
For the most part, user reports of side effects are low-in actuality, the general online consensus surrounding Testogen is positive.
However, just because these are all guaranteed safe doesn’t mean this won’t do you any harm.
It’s always safe to err on the side of caution.
Check whether your testosterone is low enough to merit supplementation or if all you really need is some lifestyle adjustment.
Is It A Scam?
Testogen is not a scam as far as our research tells us.
Testogen Reviews & Complaints
Here are some of the Testogen reviews we found. Let’s start with the negative ones.
Francisco Tovar:
I had reviewed this supplement a few weeks ago giving it 4 stars as I had only been on it for a couple of days. I have now been on it for a month and the only good thing about this supplement is the mixability and the taste. In my case it does not give you a pump nor have I seen felt changes in testosterone boost.
Fredrick Williams:
Like all supplements, some work for me and some don’t. This One did not work for me that is not to say that it is a bad product all I’m saying is that this specific product gave me headaches. I would’ve stuck with it anyway if I seen any significant results which I did not see.
There were some gems, though, and these came from verified purchases.
Supp God:
In my opinion, this one of the top overall sports nutrition products available. From the first use, you should notice an increase in libido, due to the d-aa & nitric oxide boosting ingredients. The desired result should be there!
My favorite part is the quality of this supplement. It’s a completely natural testosterone booster, so you don’t have to worry about any side effects, but you will still see increases in strength and size. All of the ingredients are proven to work and the price is completely fair for such an advanced product.
This should be the ideal product for a large range of males, from those looking to add some additional strength to those looking to rekindle their “drive”.
I’ve had the opportunity to try all 3 flavors, and I’d classify all of them as “enjoyable”.
Overall, great product from Big Ron. Why buy and test booster & a nitric oxide booster when you can get them both in Testogen.
Adam D writes in his Testogen review:
Flavor is pretty stout. Despite Ronnie Coleman having the IQ of a toddler, this stuff is great. Stacked with Yeah Buddy will give you a good caffeine energy rush to start and somehow magically mentally motivates. Sounds crazy I know, but i could work out for 2 hours easy. 1 little side effect is the little feeling of anxiousness for a couple hours after the workout.
I don’t know what makes this work and I probably don’t want to know.Stack this with Yeah Buddy for the best workout you’ve had in y ears, that will be followed up with colon blowout. Totally worth it!
BUBear:
Good stuff. though seems a bit overpriced for similar, comparable products. Purchased same item for about 1/2 the price on a competing website. This product is strong, so definitely don’t recommend taking more than one scoop (though I am generally sensitive when I take workout supplements with little food).
I made the mistake of taking this with a scoop of Limitless Nutrition’s Pre-Game (pre-workout) and it was a bit too much. I mixed the two together and it works perfectly for what I wanted to achieve, which is more pump, focus and energy, along with a general increase in blood flow to the “right” areas of a man’s body. I have tried the Orange and Tropical Berry and both are above average in taste.

Pros & Cons
Testogen Review: Final Words
We like how Testogen is different from other testosterone boosters in a sense that it doesn’t try to sell itself as the best thing since sliced bread.
All the claims it made are valid to a point, but we also recognize there is room for improvement.
Despite our clamoring for more dosage or better ingredient form, it is still a decent testosterone boosting product and should be good enough for those looking to test the waters when it comes to male health supplements.
