Most customers found the product effective.
I love this stuff.
I’ve used it on my belly through my whole pregnancy (first time Mom) and at 38 weeks, no stretch marks.
Could be coincidence, but I also like how it keeps my skin moisturized without feeling sticky.
I apply it immediately after each shower right after toweling off.
On the rare occasions when I forgot to use it, I could tell the difference- my skin felt tighter and itchy all day.
It smells faintly of chocolate (from the cocoa butter) and I find this pleasant, but some might not.
I don’t smell it once I put my clothes on.
I plan on continuing to use it after the baby comes.
I had no idea cocoa butter could do such nice things to scars!
My physical therapist used it on me for scar therapy (I have a scar that goes from the middle of my back across to under my arm, so quite a large scar), so I bought this to use at home.
Typically, my scars tend to widen a bit, sometimes just in one place, and they take a long time to lose their redness, but this, one of the largest scars I’ve gotten, is just a fine line, and is disappearing much faster than any of my other scars.
I think the smell, although not a smell I’d describe as necessarily attractive (i.e., it’s not one I would apply because of the perfume), is pleasant and not really noticeable.
Absorption is very good, and I don’t have a sticky feel afterwards.
Some customers were partially satisfied.

I have been using this for the duration of my pregnancy, which has been 6 months so far.
I’m not a HUGE fan of the product for a few reasons.
First, it doesn’t feel like it really moisturizes all that well.
If I use it by itself without using another product, my skin does not feel moisturized a few hours later.
My product of choice, Burts Bees Belly Butter, leaves me feeling moisturized all day.
If I use the Belly Butter first, and then layer this over top of it, then it feels good.
I also don’t like the delivery method.
Yes, it’s convenient that you can pump it out, but it stops pumping when there’s about a half an inch of product left in the bottle.
Then when I try to rest the bottle upside down to get all of it out, it’s too thick to slide on its own!
I have to bang the bottle on the bathroom counter to get it moving.
For the pros, it has a nice, light scent to it, which is great for my pregnancy nose.
It doesn’t leave a greasy feeling on my skin for too long.
The pump bottle IS convenient, albeit, with the downside mentioned above.
In regards to stretch marks, I haven’t had any lofty expectations that these products I’m using are going to prevent stretch marks, as that’s generally genetics.
However, I’m hoping it will keep me from getting itchy skin, and possibly keep the stretch marks to a minimum.
I haven’t developed any new ones at this point, but they will probably come the last month.
I’ll update the review after delivery to include whether I developed any or not.
I do still want to use a cocoa butter product for the rest of my pregnancy since my aunts, who have had many children, swear by it.
I’ll probably use one of the Palmers products in a tub so that I can have an easier time getting it all out.
Most dissatisfied customers complained about the smell.
Didn’t see any change after about a week and a half, but it made my skin super soft.
I’d recommend wearing stockings or leggings with this if you’re applying it to your legs to keep it from rubbing against your pants too much.
Also wasn’t a fan of the smell, but it wasn’t horrible.
It’s nice and thick, but smells terrible.
Like cheap chocolate (thus, the COCOA BUTTER).
I couldn’t handle the smell, so I had to switch brands.
So I can’t vouch for the long term effects. But it did FEEL nice!
